I'm a designer looking for a good web design company in the Nordic region to produce my website...
So far I have found these guys: http://www.scissorcompany.com
They look very professional and they also operate in Finland & Sweden...
Has anyone here used them already? or can anyone recommend someone else?

Take a look at Helsinki-based Perfect White Creative Design Studio, they make excellent graphic design for the fashion industry: www.perfectwhite.fi.

Perfect White look ok... But I really need a web design company that specializes in Fashion...
The Scissor Company.com look perfect... I just wondered if anyone here has used them?

Every graphic design agency is capable of designing a web site and they usually also have contacts to those who can make the actual site. Finding an agency specialized in designing and making fashion web sites only can be difficult. Guys that are able to code sites are not usually very fashion-orientated...
You don't just happen to have close contacts to the agency of which you sound almost like advertising??

You are probably right about some agencies... But in my recent experience it has been hard to find a regular graphic design company that are able to help me...
As for 'guys that are able to code' I think that art & technology should go hand in hand... The Italian Masters never seemed to have a problem combining the two ;)
Me advertising...? on a small forum? surly it wouldn't be worth it... anyway I think I'm going to go with 'that agency' as they are the only people who seem to be able to provide the whole package... Fashion orientated design work with the ability to code complex functionality.

Ida -> I didn't mean to offend you, sorry about that! You should only see how much people are trying to advertise in all forums, no matter small or big.
Hope you'll find the right agency, even though there hasn't been anyone who has used Scissor Company and would have been able to give you information about the company.
Good luck and let us know how the project went (when it's finished)!

I don't mind people using forums to tell people about businesses that might be genuinely useful to the people that read the forum... I'm not into spam or that kind of annoying advertising... but hey, isn't it networking and communication that keeps creative industries flowing :)
I hope we don't become too cynical... at least I'll always try to remain receptive to new people and new ideas :)

Ida, I suppose you are personally connected with Scissor Company (how would you otherwise have found them?)
I would dare to say there is nothing professional about them; they have no real client record, freelancers getting together... (nothing wrong with that, but far from "very professional" or perfect), and also all other info on that website sounds very made-up.
This comment is not cynical. It is meant as helpful if you by any chance really would NOT be part of the SC, but someone who truly do need help with your website (in that case, Perfect White or Style Counsel really are the once you should contact).
If you on the other hand are part of the SC team - I welcome your new business, good web design companies are always needed! Good luck!

Should you want to suppert such companies as Style Counsel or Perfect White who work with brutal fur retailers is up to you. I personally will steer well clear.
I was actually seriously considering Perfect White, but seeing their clientele, would never ever associate my label with the companies they co -operate with.
