The world of an IVANAhelsinki aficionado is expanding in the beginning of 2009, when it’s possible to send post packages covered in patterns of IVANAhelsinki. The patterns, created by designer Paola Suhonen, who has recently created exteriors for CocaCola and layouts for iGoogle as well, has designed patterns for Itella’s post cards and packaging materials.
”We accomplish our selection of consumer products in co-operation with IVANAhelsinki” says Lars Eklundh, the director in charge of consumer sales of Itella Group. “IVANAhelsinki’s design, praised in the international fashion arenas, suits Itella, a company with strong Finnish roots. We develop products and services with appreciation towards traditions and by creating something new in co-operation with Finnish designers.”
Due to the contract, IVANAhelsinki also has a chance to sell their products through Itella’s retail network, mainly at the main post office in Helsinki at first. Itella concluded a similar contract with Marimekko in 2007.
