The Federation of Finnish Textile and Clothing Industries will move from Tampere to Helsinki in August. The federation will also get a new chairwoman at the same time, tells today’s Taloussanomat, a Finnish economical newspaper. Satu Mehtälä, a former communications director of insurance company Ilmarinen will continue the work of chairman Matti Järventie.
According to Taloussanomat, Mehtälä will begin her new job in the beginning of August. Her experience of the Russian market was one of the major reasons of her designation. Mehtälä has worked as a marketing director of ZAO Lentek in St. Petersburg for five years.
“Matti [Järventie] wasn’t willing to move to Helsinki, and this solution was made in consensus with all parties”, says Eero Kotkasaari, chairman of the board of the federation.
Järventie will continue working for the federation’s projects in Tampere.
