Finnish fashion will arrive to Parisian catwalks, when IVANAhelsinki will show its collection for the forthcoming spring and summer at the catwalk of Hotel Ritz at Paris Fashion Week on 2 October 2007. The collection, called Diamond, Stripes and Revolver, was seen for the first time on the opening evening of Helsinki Design Week on 14 September 2007 at Suomenlinna Fortress Island off Helsinki.

“The collection will be the same that we showed in Suomenlinna, but now it will be showed in a completely different environment”, says Pirjo Suhonen, the marketing director of IVANAhelsinki. “We will fly 20 Finnish models to Paris, as well as make-up artists and hairdressers to create a genuine IVANAhelsinki bambi look in Paris.”

“IVANAhelsinki has attended Paris Fashion Week as an exhibitor for many years now”, she continues. “There are altogether about 1.000 labels at Paris Fashion Week, but only about 80 will be showing.  It’s possible to rise to a completely different category with a show – to the most followed-up 10 per cent of the labels.”

IVANAhelsinki will also open the first IVANAhelsinki shop-in-shop next week in Stockholm, in a new concept department called PUB.03 of the renewed department store PUB.
