“This is me. Who are you?” asks this year’s Argos Young Designers, a fashion event organized held at Stockmann department store’s Argos Hall in Helsinki.

The sales event promises to transform the hall into interactive arena encouraging people to dress individually and express them by the way they dress. Visitors also have a change to meet the designers, hear stories behind products, get his/her style photographed and leave a virtual message to other visitors.

Argos Young Designers also give a change to shop the products of the fresh, up-coming designers, such as 2or+by Yat, Antti Asplund, Tiina Aarras / Jousipaita, Aki Choklat, Dead Birds & Lionheart, Dusty, Svetlana Farafonova, Gardens of Jatuli, Girls of Boredom, gTie, Marita Huurinainen, I Know Why No, Nessi Hovi, ILOA, Kaksi-Två, Veera Kulju, Lumi Accessories, Naoto Niidome, Minna Parikka, Mitsumaru, Pisto, St.Vacant, Jasmin Santanen, Hanna Sarén, Tiia Vanhatapio and Cecilia Sörensen.

The event will be organized by a group of MA students of the University of Art and Design Helsinki. The group includes fashion design students Oona Colliander, Emmakaisa Soisalo and Emma Vuorinen, interior design student Katharina Schmidt, graphic design students Matti Kunttu, Anni Puolakka and Anton Yarkin and Anna Keune and Juho Jouhtimäki from the Media Lab.

Argos Young Designers will take place on 16–25 May 2008.
