Description

The degree programme concentrates on managing the form, production and quality of a garment as well as forecasting the future in the changing field. Versatile projects made for clients and traineeships are of primary importance in learning.

A student will develop skills in aesthetic perceiving, gathering and applying information, co-operation, interaction and taking responsibility. A commercial point-of-view, inner entrepreneurship and activity are needed to find the student’s own specialities as well as his/her creativity to solve problems aesthetically and ethically.

The degree programme will educate professionals for new tasks in the global field of clothing. The education is business driven. A language-skilled Bachelor of Clothing understands cultural differences in outsourcing production and is able to use his/her knowledge in business. He/she is also able to select the production environment according to the needs of the company and is able to take ethical points of view into consideration.

A Bachelor of Clothing perceives the whole process of design, production, buying and marketing. By orientating to vocational studies, he/she will gain the ability to work as a professional in the clothing field as a patternmaker, design assistant, product assistant, buyer, buying assistant, importer or sales person, for example.
