Fashion Design

The education aims to give students the ability to work as a professional in retail, production or service or as a specialised crafts or design entrepreneur in the modern, complex and changing field of design.

The strength of the department of clothing is in the fashion design and production of garments made of fabric, leather and knitwear as well as the design and manufacture of functional clothing. The student will focus on the phenomena and trends of clothing and fashion. He/she will also learn skills and techniques and practise production, research and product development. The studies include projects made in co-operation with companies, attending fairs and competitions, and creating a collection.
